Dotnetos Conference 2020 postponed to 2021
Over the last several weeks, we have been carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation and its impact on various areas of our lives. After consulting with our partners, staff, and speakers, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the event to the next year. The Dotnetos Conference 2021 will take place on 13-15 October 2021.
We feel that we have an obligation to ensure safety for attendees, speakers, and staff, to do anything that we can to prevent the spread of the virus and to protect the community and their close ones.
This is a very tough decision for us. We'll push forward to come back strong in 2021 with an incredible .NET Conference. We hope you all stay well and healthy through this year, so we can see you next year for an amazing event!

Nowadays a lot is being said about reducing allocations in .NET, like in ASP.NET Core (Kestrel) or various serializers. But how regular business application can benefit from the same approach? It seems obvious it will not be justified for every code we write everyday. But, still we can imagine some scenarios where even business app can benefit. On the example of such scenarios we will learn all advanced tricks we can use in modern C# to reduce allocations and the GC pressure.

refs usage, confidence in using the newest Span and Memory types)

Profiling, to identify what parts of an app should be optimized

What will be presented there?
Detailed agenda is to come. But be prepared for low-level, yet still practical knowledge about JIT, Garbage Collection, memory usage, unsafe code, benchmarking, and so on, and so forth.
How will the meeting look?
This is two day conference with around one-hour talks. Of course, there will be time for breaks with some nice food and beverages, including lunch. Then less official part comes in the evening between two days to have conversations in more relaxed atmosphere!
In what language will the talks be given?
All talks, including those from Polish speakers, will be given in English. This is by design international conference!
